J. D. Tao Bai, Beijing, PR of China, is the Vice President of Beijing Lawyers Association and a senior partner of Jun He Law Offices. Ms. Bai is also the Standing Director of Beijing Intellectual Property Protection Association and Member of the Chinese Society of International Law and the Inter-Pacific Bar Association. Ms. Bai received her LL.B. degree from Peking University Law School and J.D. degree from Cornell Law School. Ms. Bai currently practices in the areas of corporate, inbound investment, intellectual property, anti-trust and dispute solution.

Anil B. Divan, New Delhi, India. Married Smita. Born 15 May 1930. Senior Advocate - India. Former President LAW ASIA (1991-1993). Currently Associate President of the Bar Association of India. Member of the Committee on Biotechnology and former Water Resources Committee (ILA). Contributes articles in national newspapers. Chaired sessions at international lawyers conferences. Argued "pro bono" many public interest litigations including cases involving high level political and bureaucratic corruption as "Amicus Curiae" appointed by the Supreme Court.


Dr. Shirin Ebadi, Tehran, Iran, Nobel Peace Prize Winner 2003, Roland Berger Menschen-rechtspreis 2009. 1969 graduated from Faculty of Law, Tehran University; first female Iranian judge,  forced to resign and start work as an attorney, helped founding Society for Protecting the Child's Rights in Iran, awarded plate by Human Rights Watch, attorney for families of writers and intellectuals who were victims of "serial murders", repeatedly arrested and imprisoned for "disturbing public opinion"; awarded Rafto Prize, Human Rights Prize in Norway, headed the Irani Human Rights forum which was closed for „propaganda against the system“.

Sheila B. Keetharuth, Banjul, The Gambia. LLB, LLM, Barrister at Law Ms. Keetharuth is the Executive Director of the Institute for Human Rights and Development in Africa (IHRDA), Banjul, the Gambia. Before joining IHRDA, Ms Keetharuth was a Researcher (East Africa) with the London-based human rights organization Amnesty International (AI). She worked from AI's Africa Regional Office in Kampala, Uganda, where she has also acted as Head of Office. Ms Keetharuth practiced law in Mauritius. A former journalist and broadcaster, Ms. Keetharuth has followed human rights and social justice issues in Africa for over two decades.

Mr. Mainali has distinguished himself in the legal field and is a senior advocate of the Supreme Court of Nepal. Mr. Mainali has been instrumental in shaping the legal and judicial system in Nepal; Speech co authored by Dr. Sabitree Mainali,  professor of Nepalese history and culture. She has been teaching in this field for over thirty years; author of articles and three books on Nepalese religion and culture, author of her forthcoming book "Hindu Miniatures of Kathmandu Valley".


Prof. John T. McDermott, Los Angeles, U.S.A.. Professor of Law, Loyola Law School, Professor McDermott has been an attorney for more than forty years and a law professor for more than 35 years. He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Courts of the states of Colorado and Montana and also before the Supreme Court of the United States. He has been an active member of LAWASIA for more than 20 years and a frequent speaker at LAWASIA Conferences. He has also taught at Dokkyo University in Japan and has lectured extensively throughout Asia.


Oliver B. San Antonio, Manila, Philippines. Mr. San Antonio is concurrently Associate Editor of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) Law Journal and Editor-in-Chief of The Bar Tribune. He is a member of LAWASIA and is presently a fellow of the Asia Society. He obtained his Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science degrees from the University of the Philippines. Among his many professional and legal advocacies are governance and reproductive health.
